Why Stainless Steel?           

There are so many health and environmental concerns about Aluminium or and Plastic that the only viable options are glass or stainless steel.  For everyday use at home, glass bottles are what we recommend and are what we use ourselves.  But when out and about and on the move, the stylish simplicity of stainless steel is undoubtedly the clever option.

The greatest single benefit of 18/8 stainless steel is the simple fact that it does not require funky chemical-laden liners.  Aluminium bottles are coated with a protective liner (typically epoxy-based) due to potential toxicity and reactive issues with raw aluminium.  But using such a liner defeats the entire purpose of a non-plastic bottle as you are now essentially drinking from an epoxy vessel which really isn't any better than the plastic bottles we are trying to avoid!  The  Swiss Company Zigg encountered extensive damage to their reputation when they were shown to have a lining which broke down over time. It didn't get any better when they found a resolution and that too had issues!
